1
Shut off the water supply valve leading to the toilet.

Flush the toilet and hold the handle down to drain the tank completely.
Tip: Use a sponge or towel to soak up remaining water at the bottom of the tank.
3
Disconnect the water supply line from the bottom of the toilet tank.
4
Unscrew the lock nut holding the fill valve to the tank.
5
Remove the old fill valve assembly from the tank.

6
Install the new fill valve into the tank hole.
7
Tighten the lock nut by hand and then lightly with a wrench.

8
Reconnect the water supply line to the new fill valve.
